Until yesterday morning I was unfamiliar with Sinisa Egelja… However the comments on this article about his death left me so curious I’ve spent hours reading about this amazing guy. He was with Airwalk practically from its birth to when it died for most people – 16 years spent being involved with what was, at that time, one of the most innovative skate companies around. I met the guy a couple of times, really really cool. Was the guy you met and said man Id love to do what he does when I grow up.

I can attest for his creative genius. I am lucky enough to be involved in many of his stories for the last 24 years. Sin was beyond funny, beyond creative, and beyond crazy in the most flattering form of the word. To know him was indeed to love him as well as to be utterly confused. He is missed beyond as the world is less without him here.

I’m curious about how he died? His ex wife remarried just a week before his passing. Everybody keeps the circumstances a secret. I can only assume he died broken hearted since he was still so young. Artists have their passions, and sometimes passions are tragic. Never try to snuff out a light. It will eventually flicker.
