Afghanistan now has a skatepark! With a lot of hard work from Melbournian Oliver Percovich and the rest of the Skateistan crew (and donations from people like Blackbox), the first skatepark opened in Kabul a couple weeks ago. From all accounts it’s been a hit with the locals. So much so the German Foreign Ministry donated 70,000 USD to the project. There’s a heap more photos of the indoor park here and an interesting video below.
