Robbie-Walker

Photo: Dan Himbrechts.

UPDATE: Good news, Robbie got into the next round of the Dew Tour. Pre-quals are tomorrow so I’ll keep you updated with results when we have them.

Robbie Walker competed in yesterday’s slopestyle open qualifiers at the Winter Dew Tour stop in Colorado. Only the top nine progress to today’s preliminaries and unfortunately he came in at number ten by only two points, missing the cut by the slimmest margin. Full results table below fingers crossed he scores a wildcard!

I noticed in the results that scotty james DNS in the pipe quals. It was a pretty stacked pipe quals field tho. Looks even tougher to make the finals of the Dew Tour than US Open in general!!!

Sorry Dan, I think Dave just pulled that from Robbie’s website and probably didn’t know who’d taken it. Fixed.

    Chris,

Besides a few outstanding invoices from the last issue, and any that have honestly fallen through the cracks, I don’t know which photographers you’re talking about. I take offense to you telling me I’m ripping anyone off. Especially photographers. I’ve never cropped a photo, run crazy illustrations over photographers work (besides the odd quote or two), used more than 2 lines for a caption or incorrectly label a trick on purpose (besides issue 1, sorry Dan and Jamie). In fact I started Pop in part to try and do photography justice.

Sure, I haven’t been able to send anyone on fully paid trips or even get free passes for many people, but neither have I got any for myself. If I’ve “ripped off” you, or someone your know, please email or call me to straighten it out. Because I certainly haven’t done it on purpose. For the most part, it’s our policy at Pop to pay contributors before we pay ourselves. But we are two guys running a magazine we give away for free, so we don’t exactly sleep in piles of money.

    Rick.
