This has had more hype than I can believe … Finally, Apple announced their iPad this morning. It is a 9.7-inch capacitive touchscreen running the iPhone OS (3.2). It contains a custom 1ghz Apple ‘A4′ chip and comes in 16, 32, and 64GB gig hard drive options. To be honest, I am still stuck as to where one of these would fit in my life … Why would I need a tablet when there is little to no gap between my laptop and my phone? I’ll have to watch the full presentation to get Jobs’ sales pitch and then decide. Engadget has some amazing coverage of the whole thing – head over to here to check it out.

I still haven’t watched the keynote but I’m thinking that you’ll be right. I want efficiency, time saving, easy to use software and devices – virtual keyboards and smaller screens don’t really help with that. Be interesting to see how they sell.

Just came across this … Interesting what Bill Gates says about his tablet and its interaction with his phone and PC as well as his vision for the future of devices: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wuhHIqJyjY0
