Quiksilver Pro – Semis On Standby for 9am Call

The remaining round three match ups from the Roxy Pro have kicked off this morning. The Quiksilver Pro is currently on standby for a 9am call. If it happens today, then Taj Burrow will take on Bobby Martinez in the first semi final with Dane Reynolds taking on Jordy Smith in the second. SNAPPER ROCKS, Queensland/Australia (Friday, March 5, 2010) – The remaining four heats of Round 3 of the Roxy Pro Gold Coast, the opening event of the ASP Women’s World Tour, have been called on this morning, with the first heat hitting the three-to-four foot (1 metre) waves at Snapper Rocks at 7:30am.

The Quiksilver Pro Gold Coast presented by Land Rover, Stop No. 1 of 10 on the 2010 ASP World Tour season, has only three heats remaining to crown a champion and is on standby for a 9am call.

“We still have some good-looking swell on offer this morning and we’ll be starting with the women at 7:30am,” Rod Brooks, Quiksilver Pro Contest Director, said. “We’ve put the men on standby for a 9am call, and we’ll be monitoring conditions throughout the morning.”

Up first today will be current ASP Women’s World No. 2 Silvana Lima (BRA), 25, up against 2010 ASP Dream Tour rookie Lee Ann Curren (FRA), 20.
