Thredbo Park Update – Early September

We have had a big couple of weeks with events like the Ripcurl Freeride Pro and Throwdown as well as the MTV Snow Jam which was almost an epic fail with the fresh snow making the in-run to the jump almost too slow to make, then we had a massive dump of pow followed by torrential rain yesterday. All in all we have more snow than we did two weeks ago so it’s going to be a good spring!

Amongst everything we have managed to rebuild both the Cruiser and Hignoon parks, we have made the Cruiser park beginner/intermediate so we can make the intermediate park intermediate/advanced as we have not had enough snow up top to build the advanced park, the Cruiser park is now packing five jumps ranging from 5 to 20ft ,a 6m dance floor box, a 6m box, a 9m box, a 9m flat/down box, and a 6m down narrow box.

Highnoon has a 30 stair set, 30 and 40ft jumps (reshaped), a 6m down lift tower tube, a 10m down flat down rail, a street style wallride, a 4m pole jam and a 3m stall pipe, we plan to keep remodeling it weekly till the end of the season to keep it fresh.

Wombats world is still stacked with rollers tunnels and baby table tops for the kids.

The bag jump had a rebuild of the take offs a week ago and will be running for another week weather permitting.

Other than that we are working on the jump for the One Hit Wonder which at the moment is just a growing pile of snow for the deck. It will all be ready for the competition on the 14th I’ll shoot you through some pics when it’s done,

That’s all for now Charles.
