The guys at Rip Curl have put together an amazing clip for the release of the second iteration of their Mirage boardshort. They have used a 52 camera array setup in a wave pool in Malaysia to capture Steph Gilmore, Mick Fanning. Owen Wright and Matt Wilkinson doing their thing. The effect is the same as the one made famous by The Matrix – basically an action that can be viewed from multiple angles. The guys used the company Timeslice that developed the original bullet-time technology and had jetski’s pull the surfers into the wave.
