Shaun White’s Perfect 100 Run

As you may have read, X Games pipe was dominated by Shaun White the other day. Aspen saw not only the first 5-peat gold but the first perfect 100 run in the pipe. It was a repeat of the Vancouver Olympics with the win already sewn up on his first run scoring a record 94.00 and he could have sat on his board and slid down the pipe to collect the medal. Instead he outdid his first run with a huge 18-foot backside air, a fronstside double cork 1080, a Cab double cork 1080, a frontside stalefish 540, a double McTwist 1260 and a frontside double cork 1260. This was done on a sprained ankle that prevented White from competing in the slopestyle comp earlier in the day. Ipod (Iouri Podladtchikov) took silver with bronze going to Ryo Aono. Check the winning run below – damn impressive.
