This was posted on May 9th but has only just come to my attention… Snow Park NZ will be closed for the 2013 season. Sam Lee, part of the Lee family who are the owners of the area and have just regained control after leasing it, announced the decision in this post citing their inability to get everything up to scratch in time for the season. He said, “This is one of the hardest decisions I have had to make, with the level of functioning assets, I know we cannot provide the World Class terrain we have become known for”. They mention that they may open on an ad-hoc basis during the season and to keep an eye on their Facebook page for details. They will be missed for the season but I’m sure they’ll be back next year.
