At the airport the other day I spoke to a guy who doesn’t even use a surfboard bag. His theory is based on reverse psychology in that if a baggage handler can see the fragility of a surfboard, far more care is taken in moving it about. Good theory, but I’m not really willing to try it out. SOMA Air Bag Designs have a new badass inflatable bag that looks certified bad-arse. No idea when, where, or how much, but it certainly looks the goods.

    All info is on the website, but considering that new boards range for around $700,when you pay $130 for a boardbag that WILL actually withstand the cruelty of airport personnel…well is a no brainer for me
