I saw this on Yahoo news this morning. It looks like Jeff Clark’s 2008 Mavericks Surf Contest went down in near perfect conditions. Greg Long won it. There’s some photos here and some crappier ones here. I also got an email from JJ at Quiksilver letting me know that the ‘Quiksilver Big Wave Invitational in Memory of Eddie Aikau’, the world’s original big-wave surf competition held at Waimea Bay, Hawaii, has been placed on high alert to possibly run tomorrow. And yes, they’re going to webcast it!
