New Zealander Declares World Travel on a Skateboard ‘Efficient’ – Yep, you read right. New Zealand man, Rob Thomson, spent 850 days and $15,000 skateboarding around the world. He set a Guinness World Record, met red necks and ate horse penis salami – however his statement that traveling 12,159km by skateboard was efficient eclipsed everything else in the article for me…

If you though Shutter Shades were hot, check these out – Kanye set a pretty big trend with his shutter shades a while back and is now promoting these creations on his blog… I have a feeling they’re not going to catch on at quite the same level.

Surfing Doco, Bombora, Airs on ABC this Thursday – Gets Mixed Reviews – Fred Pawle writes in the Australian about Nick Carroll’s (brother of Tom) new surfing documentary, Bombora. Pawle gives it a mixed review but it still sounds like an amazing watch to me. Check it out Thursday night at 8.30pm.

Transworld’s Five Small Business Tips for Survival – This didn’t really fit into a post of it’s own but is one for anyone who owns, runs or works in a small business. Transworld Business writer, Adam Sullivan, posted five tips for surviving the Tough Economic Times (TET’s). They’re good, basic, reminders about ways to improve and keep going when times be tough.
