Dave from Shipsterns.com sent me over this little number last night. Pretty sweet. You can get it in a BetterTube version here . Is it just me, or does Tasmania seem kinder gnarly compared to the mainland? You know, like when Chopper was on the mainland he was bad-arse, but when he moved to Tasmania he got even more bad-arse .

Today Paul and Renee from Coal gave us tour of their warehouse and 2008 range of Coal Headwear . As expected, the stuff is amazing. Rarely do we get to see a range that is so solid and that doesn’t require “Spin & PR” in order for me to keep my job. Read on for sneak peaks at some 09 products and a list of things you’ll need to buy before the season.

I’m sure most of you have axed out some fat chops with Guitar Hero, but how about banging out a kick arse drum solo? The next version of Guitar Hero, features three drum pads, two raised cymbals and a bass kick pedal! It’s not out until October 27th, but I thought you might want the heads to get the brand back together as this bad boy has 8-player battle of the band multilayer. It’s on!

Although the flyer above is too small to read (I couldn’t find a better sized one), it says that Burton has joined with Air New Zealand and The Remarkables to give away a return trip for two to ride ‘The Stash’ at The Remarkables resort in New Zealand for 5 nights! To enter the competition you have to purchase any Burton product at an authorized dealer between June 1st and August 1st, fill in the entry form telling them about your best snowboarding experience and place it in the entry box in-store. As a side note, are there many non-authorized dealers? And if so, where? I want me some black market snowboard gear! But on the serious, with the prices of lift tickets this year , you could just go out and buy like 500 beanies and still come out in front.

This is the teaser to the new film made by Park City, appropriately named "I Ride Park City". I’ve always dreamed about making a snowboard video in a fixed location, which would allow for some pretty sweet camera setups. I guess Park City have pulled it off by the looks of this. Despite being mostly park footage, this is the most exciting teaser I’ve seen this year, except I don’t really get the Shaun White car thing at the end. Also, when will somebody show Torah Bright doing a trick? I mean, the girl can shred, so why not show it?! I get it, she’s hot, but show her skills! Yes Roxy, I’m talking to you.

This is pretty cool I think. As part of the promotion for the new Burton film, It’s Always Snowing Somewhere, Burton have done a limited set of grachics for the Custom, that are only avaible in the southen hemisphere. Australia got 70 (out of 300) of them, and the rest went to South America and New Zealand. They are acutally 09 boards, with the new graphic, so it’s kind of like riding into the future. Plus, the graphics are some of the best I’ve seen from Burton in a while (maybe the Jussi is better?). My sources tell me that they should be instores today or tomorrow, let me know if you track one down and then brace yourself for an all out bidding war!

The trailer for Isenseven’s new film, Teenage Love Graffiti came out the other day. There is some amazing shots in there, although I have to say, they maybe went a little over the top on the motion graphics. Anyway, it’s worth a watch. Thanks to Tyson for the heads up.

pop_player

In the first of some big things for POPMag.com.au I would like to present POP Player, a little virtual iPod we built to entertain you whilst you browse around. You can see it below the ad on the right hand side of the page. We will be updating the playlist as we come accross new music that we think you guys will like, so give it check back later if you don’t like the current selection. It can also be detached from the main page, which is handy because then you can browse around the site without having your song interrupted. And trust us, in a few weeks you’ll be spending a lot more time on POPMag.com.au…
