Dana Brown, the director of Step Into Liquid and Endless Summer 2 is showing his new film at the LA Film Fest. It’s based around the Triple Crown event held at Oahu’s on the North Shore. Based purely on Dana’s history this is got to be worth a watch. Although personally I don’t identify with the whole “Church of Surfing” thing. I was really into Lord of the Rings when I was growing up and it sort of messed up my understanding of religion.

Well it was a little later than planed, but it seems like winter finally showed up to the party. With Mt. Hotham and Mt. Buller currently reporting a steady snowfall (and -2.5 degree temperatures) I think it’s say it’s on.

Standard Films new teaser came out a few weeks ago and we never mentioned it (thanks to Wang Fardon for the tip off), but here it is now. Standard have always pushed the heavy metal soundtrack (I discovered White Zombie thanks to TB4), so if you’re into that sort of thing then you’ll be glad to hear they used a Metallica track in this teaser.

Death Cab are coming to Australia soon, but I got to see them play last night in Los Angeles. I have posted about it in the forum’s over here if you want to have a read. It’s worth checking out if you’re a fan (and there are no spoilers if you’re that keen).

My source on this isn’t iron-clad (read: I’m just making it up). But I’m pretty sure Adam Sandler is getting hooked up by DC. He was on Letterman last week wearing a DC jersey and then he dropped their name the other night on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart while promoting his new film. I’m not sure what any of this means, but its been a slow news day so I thought I’d just make some up

Let us know what you think, and please let me know if you spot any problems. Enjoy.

Dave from Shipsterns.com sent me over this little number last night. Pretty sweet. You can get it in a BetterTube version here . Is it just me, or does Tasmania seem kinder gnarly compared to the mainland? You know, like when Chopper was on the mainland he was bad-arse, but when he moved to Tasmania he got even more bad-arse .
