It was announced a few days ago that Polaroid will stop production of polaroid film, this follows the news that they haven’t made an instant camera in 2 years. The digital revolution claims another victim, what are all the trendsters, art types and home made porn stars to do? Digital prints just don’t have the same look and feel.
They say there will be enough film until 2009, and Fuji still produces instant film. But my tip would be to buy up now….. Look out Ebay.

Day 3 I think…. not sure as last night I am sure the world was spinning faster. I know the room was anyway.

Brands are doing custom heat press T shirts and bandanas for promo this year.

Day two of madness, it was a quiet start to today as most people where either slow to get up or slow to get home, I swear time stands still in this place. I have been slack today with hot new product shots. But one photo I have that we all should be stoked about is the double page check out that Robbie Walker has in the latest Transworld that is floating around the trade show. Yeah Robbie.

Our resident blogger Paul Colby is at SIA in Las Vegas, where the snow world collides in a world of booze, new products, new marketing campaigns, gambling and boobs. Here’s some photos from day one of a four… of madness!

The Endeavor booth is in a 40ft shipping container, everyone loves the free SIA wireless.

I went to watch my first ice hokey game last night to see Vancouver’s beloved Canucks loose to Minnesota. The Canucks must be really looking forward to the all star break, well that is what ESPN sport center tells me.
North American sport is an example of marketing at it’s finest, every where you can fit a logo they do. So for a sucker like me to marketing you know I am going to leave the stadium with a car, pizza, mobile phone plan, what supermarket to shop at and a packet of viagra.

The beanie, program and beer I got stitched up before I even got to my seat.

Jumbo Tron

Fin the mascot

This remote control blimp went around the crowd dropping prizes, I have one on order for home.

These girls skated out when ever play stopped to clean up the ice. What a service they provide.

Lift lines are part of snowboarding, they can be long and frustrating but there is nothing you can do about them. Everyone is there to enjoy the same thing you are, the snow. But everyone can play a part in making it easier with a few simple steps. If you are single go in the singles line, if you want to ride the chair with your buddies make sure they are next to you in line, make friends in the line by forming a group that will fit on the chair (example make 3, make 4 or even make 8) before you get to to the chair, when the lines merge make sure they go 1 for 1, and finally don’t cut…….
I am not trying to be the lift line enforcer I just want it to be an easier, faster and less stressful experience for all and we can’t always count on the lifties to do their jobs as they are most likely hung over.

It doesn’t matter what the weather is like, your riding skills or how tight your pants are everyone can enjoy a good hit run. Whistler reminded us of this today. Have a look at the video I made of the day here.

There was little fanfare or celebration as it was two days before Christmas and only one half of the world had snow. The 23rd of December was world snowboarding day. I hope you where lucky enough to go riding or at least got to flip through a snowboarding magazine to celebrate. Yet again snowboarding is biting skateboarding with a go ride day…… but who cares as long as we get to shred. Here are some pictures form our world snowboarding day.
