Here’s a time lapse of the crowd at the Melbourne premiere for Two Weeks In. We started it half way through the night because we had to run home and get the fish-eye lens. I would say there was between 100 and 400 people there. I think we can all agree on that wide range. No? How about less than 400 but more than 50? Ok we’ll go with that. Between 50 and 400 people turned up… I think.

Here’s those extra photos from Dan and Oz’s show. I got to Sydney on Wednesday night so I was lucky enough to get a look at the show being setup. I’ve got to say, it was such a good insight into how real artists think and work. I was very impressed. I didn’t post photos of every piece that’s on display. The show is open for the next two weekends so if you like these samples, go take a look. I’ve been talking to Dan about bringing the show to Melbourne, in July, so hold tight for more information on that.

Last Thursday night renown snowboard photographer Dan Himbrechts put on a joint exhibition with digital artist and friend Oz Dean (known as ForceFeed:Swede). The show was held at the MTV gallery in downtown Sydney. It was packed with well over 200 people showing up. For snowboarding and Sydney, that’s a fantastic effort and really goes to show the quality of Dan and Oz’s work. Congrats to both the guys and thanks for letting POP be a part of it. I’ve got a few more behind the scenes photos that I’ll post later today. Until then, enjoy these from all around good-guy Thomo.

Apologies to everyone waiting on me to post these up. I’m sure your facebook page has been looking extra bare. Well no more. Last Thursday Trevor ‘Trouble’ Andrew was touring Australia, He had a MTV show in Sydney followed up with some smaller sideshows in Melbourne and Sydney. Regardless of what kind of music you’re into, you’ve got to give it to Trouble for putting on an entertaining show. He’s got the crowd interaction of a hip-hop-act but the attitude of a rock star. I think it really works for him. His music is actually pretty good. It’s really a shame that not many people outside of snowboarding have heard of Trouble. Given all the electro-pop music that is being pumped out of Australia, I think he’d have quite a few fans. Still, when he’s big in two years time everyone that was at these shows can now say that they saw Trouble in a small band room. It should be noted that his guitarist wasn’t allowed in the country for visa problems so there was a notable lack of rockin’ out but Trouble and his drummer/DJ made up for that. I saw this on Engadget last week. I knew that Qmotion already built an ‘XBoard’ for older generation consoles but now they’ve gotten all next-gen on us. As Engadget points out, they’re also going to be allowed to make official wireless peripherals. Something Microsoft doesn’t let many companies do. How does this affect you? Well it means we’re likely to see more extreme names for wacky products that put the hard work back into playing video games. Seriously, I play EA SKATE so I can sit on the couch, not jump around the living room on a purple piece of plastic. Still, I won’t put the jihad on it right away, it’d be interesting to try.

Sorry if this is old. I found a new website called Idiom Life and I read it there. Anyway I guess Damien Hobgood took a heavy beating at Teahupoo a couple weeks ago. He got some broken bones out of it. Damo blogged about it on his website which is a pretty unique thing in surfing I think. I know Damo was in good form at the Bells after parties with some of the lads so I hope he gets better soon.

Crailtap have put up a new Top Fives with Tim O’Conner. It’s worth the read (but I’ve included his Epicly Later’d above for those that can’t). I like how he actually explained his answers. Trust a writer to take what usually is a quick list and turn it into half an hours worth of Monday morning time wasting. Oh and here’s that post about Tim’s roast in case you missed it.
