In a move predicted in the last issue of Australian Surf Business, ACP is getting rid of iconic surf titles, Waves and Tracks. They are trading the two titles to Wolseley Media for their Rolling Stone magazine. You can read the full article here. I think the most amazing thing about the article though is that in the year to April, Tracks had brought in $2.9 million and Waves $2.15 million (despite rumors that Waves were only selling 3,000 of the 30,000 magazines they print) for ACP! Why is this incredible? Well, it certainly gives a sense of proportion to what we do here at POP - I might need to hit up the Waves guys for a loan…

Great! They were a shit read anyway.
All the best to POP with picking up the pieces…
Now we just need to fuck off morrison media… (sorry if that offends any photogs in here).
Tyson, you have no idea you zoot. Pull your head in, sit down, shut up and wipe your chin because you’re dribbling shit!
Tyson, Tyson, Tyson – if that is your real name (something tells me you’re one of those cyber geeks that post fuckwit interweb gibberish under an alias while whacking off to hyperlinks and men’s bumholes). What can I say? You shouldn’t be so quick to judge the sale of certain surf titles. I know the guys from both magazines – they’re just as (if not more) passionate about constructing the mags as you’re about posting ridiculous comments (and let’s not forget whacking off to men’s bumholes). If you had subjected yourself to all the media on the subject, you would have discovered that large publishing houses like ACP actually purchase such titles with the sole intent of building their readership and selling them for profit. That’s right, Tyson! Profit. Stop whacking off to men’s bumholes and look the word up.Keep up the good work, POP!
Seeya Mike, err, I mean, Tyson, umm, I mean bumhole.
Hey Guys,
We don’t normally get in the middle of these hate wars (because, as you say, it’s mostly people with vested interests, including our own). But I have to stick up for a loyal reader in this case. Tyson is his real name. He posts on here all the time, in fact, he is the Tyson referred to here.
Anyway, game on. Thanks both for the props.
Thanks for replying, Drew! In regards to the introduction of this post – look at the paragraph, count six lines down, scan three words in (discounting $2.15 million) and you’ll notice the incorrect spelling of “rumours” (which you’ve printed as rumors - which is in fact how they spell it in the USA). Now, I’m not a geographic wonder, but isn’t your title published in Australia? Unless of course, Victoria is actually in the USA. Let me know because I’d love to POP over and visit.
