Steve-O has been committed to a mental hospital by 7 of his friends. Reportedly suffering from Bi-Polar which was exacerbated by some serious drug use, Steve-O is on a 14 day watch for suicidal behavior. In a letter a few days before he was admitted to the hospital, Steve-O said “They call it ‘code 5150,’ that means ‘psycho,’ legally, fuckin’ bat-shit, certifiably. I’m outta my mind, believe-you-me. How’d I get this way? How can this be? It’s gotten so bad there’s nothing left of me.” I’m not going to make fun of this but I remember reading an article in Waves mag once where they said if you wanted to make sure that kids never touched drugs, all you needed to do is play them a conversation of two junkies talking about poetry – that would scare anyone off drugs for life.
