Over on the Nike SB site right now is a bunch of footage of Shane O’Neill and Luke Croker. You long time readers may remember Luke from issue numero uno. Both these guys have been killing it for a while and its always good to see something new.

Above: Freestyle crew - Caleb Hoskin, Simon Crowe, Luke Gray, and David Arthur.

I got an email yesterday from Simon Crowe at Victorian store, Freestyle Xtreme, who is doing his bit for Freestyle Xtreme, who is doing his bit for Movember. I asked Simon to shoot through a before photo so we can get an update at the end of the month, hopefully with a bad ass, Frank Zappa style imperial moustache. If you want to help Simon out raising money for Movember, click here (if you want to mail a cheque, all the details are below the cut). If you’re also participating in Movember, feel free to post your donate links in the comments and send us through photos of you tash’ progress. I’ll add them to the post. Good luck Simon!

Okay, so the likelihood that you actually heard it here first is slim but I wanted to express my absolute elation at the election of Barack Obama - not because I’m a fan boy (or not just because, anyway) but because it represents a turning point for our US friends. Now, I’m off to get a beer and savour the old guys defeat speech. Woooooo!

I just got emailed some footage and photos from Analog’s ‘Show Us Your Ghouls’ contest which was held last Friday night. Best line went to Chima Ferguson while New Zealander, Bjorn Johnson, took out best trick. Check below the cut for the release and a few photos and peep the above footage for a full wrap of the contest.

The guys at Plan B have recently upped a 14 minute promo video named ‘Superfuture‘. Luckily it’s full of good skateboarding and has nothing at all to do with the look at me brand-whore hipster website of the same name. It features exactly who you would expect in a Plan B promo, the team. I was pretty impressed with Danny Way obviously, and love him or hate him, Sheckler has hammers. And although short, I always enjoy watching PJ Ladd have a roll. Download it here.

Here’s one for the protesters in Vermont. One of the worlds largest adult film companies, Vivid Entertainment, has teamed up with skateboard company, Control, to create some boards. The boards will feature Vivid stars such as Sunny Leone, Nikki Jayne, Hanna Hilton and Meggan Mallone along with a logo series. The line will be launched in January 2009. Thanks to Skabeboarding Sucks for the tip.

Brad Kremer from Mack Dawg Productions has put together an article on Tranworld Business where he talks about the challenges of creating independant snowboard films at a time when downloading is so easy and prevelant. The article isn’t all one sided - more than anything, he says that kids downloading films is, in part, the fault of film makers who are so focused on making great films that they have neglected to move their business model with the times. It’s well worth a read - check it out here.

Jereme Rogers is apparently also jumping on the athletes turning to a rap career patrol. Following in the footsteps of Terry Kennedy, Travis Kennedy, and Mitch Reed, Jereme has a shint new Myspace page with a few of his tracks up for the listening. When we posted about Gryme Tyme a little while ago some people got a little upset, so I’ll let you guys decide what you think of it. We will let you know if there is a Aus tour coming up.
