Dragon Gigi Webgame – Week 3 Results

Apologies for the errors in the scores last week – I thought I was looking at total scores, instead these are scores by location. So, today the Nelson, BC trail is closing and I’ve got the top scores ranked below… Good work to the Aussies who have taken all the leading positions. The next challenge is in Trout Lake, BC – the challenge there closes on March 15, 2010.

I also spoke briefly to the person running this whole sha-bang-a-bang, Jane Emerick. I asked Jane about creating the game, details on the prize (all expenses paid trip to snowboard in the States!) and rigging the win for me as my scores have been… less than expected. Check it all out below and head over here if you want to play!

Trail #5: Nelson, BC – Challenge end: March 8, 2010 at 12:00 GMT
1. Bcook – Newcastle – 132,044 pts
2. Juzzs8 – Melbourne – 107,669 pts
3. Nat23 – Gold Coast – 106,455 pts
4. Baden245 – Sydney – 102,637 pts
5. Josty – Melbourne – 98,286 pts

Dave: The game is pretty addictive, it’s kind of like an update (and a more tech versions of) the old California Games… Who created it?
Jane Emerick: It’s about as addictive as heroin, but much better for you. If you get good at this you can win a trip to America whereas smack gets you nowhere, right? A French company called Youriding.com developed the game along with our International Marketing Director over in the States. They came up with the plan after our Marketing Director wanted to do something more interesting than a web banner.  Last year we ran the Machado Experience and winners went to America and had a rad time. It was a hit, so this year we are running a snowboarding version.

Gigi is amazing… Will he be joining the winner in the States for s shred?
Heck yes!  So will TJ Schiller, who is an amazing free skier. Something for everyone, all of our bases covered.

Speaking of which, the prize is ridiculous! Fill us in on the details… Flying with, staying at, etc.
Well we always fly with our good friends at V Australia. The rest will depend on the best snow conditions, but you can be rest assured it will be ridiculous, accommodation, airfare, lift tickets all included. Mind blowing.

Any chance you can rig the game so I can win? Despite my dismal performance so far. Ahaha.
Of course, consider it done. Oh wait, did I say that? I meant no sorry Dave, no dice, but you keep dreaming.

How are you going? Who’s got the highest score in the office at the moment?
My aura repels technology unfortunately, but our accountant is killing it, for sure he trying to snag a free trip. My boss doesn’t want me to encourage him, but it’s hard not to.
