After a long Northern Hemisphere winter full of mini clips, Transworld Snowboarding have finally posted the full teaser for ‘These Days’. If you have been trapped in a basement and don’t know what the hell I’m talking about, ‘These Days’ is the eagerly awaited full length snowboard film featuring our good friend and all round charger, Robbie Walker. For the basement dwellers, Robbie has been (pardon my swears) absolutely killing shit, and you would be silly not to see this film as soon as you can*.
*May or may not be a premiere in September hosted by us.
Stay tuned…

Following up on the super-mega-cool SpaceShipOne project a few years back, Scaled Composites has unveiled it’s new mothership, White Knight Two. In case your not obsessed with going to the moon like I am, Scaled Composites is the company behind the first privately funded manned space flight. They have now partnered with Virgin Galactic and are building a spaceship capable of taking paid passengers into space. Thanks to them, space tourism is going to be a reality in our life time. I swear, this is the coolest shit ever.

I had to post this up, just becuase it is so bad. This is as offensive to surfers as The Love Guru was to Indians. Matthew McConaughey is such a douche on screen, but everybody seems to love him. I guess he is a good dude but man, could you stop making movies please?!

This is all over the web now, and normally I would just put this in the forums, but Neil Patrick Harris is my new man crush thanks to his amazing performance as Barney on How I Met Your Mother. He is the star of a video-blog/musical about an evil genius named Dr Horrible. You must watch it! The songs aren’t really my thing, but the rest is total genius. So much so that it is getting taken down on Sunday night, so watch it now before it’s too late.

In the upcoming issue of POP we have a pretty solid interview with all round shredder TJ Schneider. In case you live under a brick (and that brick doesn’t have access to YouTube) then you should know that TJ is the man behind Snowboard Realms, a regular snowboard show (is this what a podcast is?) shown on YouTube. We have talked about his show before, but it’s worth mentioning his latest episode for two reasons. Firstly, it’s selfless promotion for the next issue and secondly it’s an all girls episode shot up at the Camp of Champions.

Although I don’t have photo’s yet, I do have the results. Robbie Walker won easily (one person said, it looked like he didn’t even break a sweet!), with Mikey and Tom getting equal second after they both stomped a super gnarley 50-50 to transfer from the balcony rail to the stair set! Jason Maxfield also landed a hammer with a 50-50 to flat from the balcony rail. Jye Kearney got best trick with a 50-50 on the balcony to lip slide transfer and won a mini bike for it! We will have photo’s as soon the internet gets turned on at Mt Buller…Damn it Dave, if you’d got those fucking iPhone’s, then we wouldn’t have this problem. I don’t care if you got hit by that dude who was riding a motor cycle, lying down and texting all at the same time.
Download the large format video here. Smaller one here.
UPDATE: I have photos now. There are a bunch below the cut and even more coming. All photos thanks to Dan Himbrechts.
UPDATED FOR A SECOND TIME, SO TWO TIMES UPDATED: Even more photos below!

If you’re like me and have been a fan of Christian Bale ever since Empire of The Sun chances are you’re eagerly awaiting the new Batman film (or perhaps you just like snuff films? Ohhh…too soon?), and no I’m not talking about the gay Batman. Well you might be interested in Gotham Knight. It’s a series of 6 short films set between Batman Begins and the new film coming out July 16th. Although it wasn’t as good as The Animatrix (which had a similar premise), it is definitely worth seeing. Plus it has skateboarding in it. Click here for screening details.

One of the better surf company’s around today is called RVCA (they also do skate as well). They fund an art magazine called the Artist Network Program (ANP) which is co-edited by a guy called Aaron Rose. It’s hard to explain how big of a deal Aaron Rose is.. He is the guy responsible for the Beautiful Losers and the Alleged Gallery in New York (both massive deals). Anyway, RVCA/ANP have just released a short film called Beach Blanket Burnout (you can get a high-res trailer here). It looks very very art house, but the writer/director is a guy named Tyler Manson who has a great show on VBS.tv called HI-SHREDABILITY so you know it’s probably going to be a cool little movie.
